Planet-Saving 101: The Basics of Life on Earth

Four essential steps to saving the planet:

• 1. Net zero fossil fuel emissions by 2025

• 2. Move to regenerative agriculture

• 3. Protect our oceans - 30% of oceans by 2023

• 4. Protect wildlife habitat - protect 30% of land by 2030

NUMBER 1 is critical to preventing global temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees C.

NUMBER 2, regenerative agriculture, offers the only realistic way of reducing the greenhouse gases (GHG) that are in the atmosphere.

NUMBER 3, protecting the oceans, is the only way to enable the oceans to continue to absorb 30% of CO2 generated by human activities, as well as 90% of the heat those activities add to the atmosphere, while at the same time providing 50% of the oxygen we breathe.

NUMBER 4, protecting wildlife habitat, is critical if we wish to enjoy our fellow creatures on this planet. Wildlife species have fallen by 2/3s just since 1970!
